29th ANNUAL SCHOOL PROGRAM UPDATE – 2011 FALL WORKSHOPS
The School Program Update workshops are designed for district and county level staff who have to pull the pieces together into one instructional program. The presenter, Peter Birdsall, is known for his ability to discuss funding concerns in the context of educational program issues. The format provides a fast-paced, knowledgeable review of current policy and funding, integrated into one presentation on the “top ten issues in education”. The workshop allows for questions and answers so the participants can dig deeper into the issues of greatest interest.
The presenter at the Fall Workshops will be Peter Birdsall, CCSESA’s Executive Director.

- State budget and education funding
- Common core implementation
- Instructional materials
- Assessment
- School accountability
- Charter schools
Workshops begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at noon, registration begins 30 minutes prior.
